RWAV Pain Management Grant 2022

The Pain Management Professional Development Grant will provide support to health professionals who are working with chronic disease patients to increase their knowledge and skills in chronic pain management practices.

This grant will upskill health practitioners in regions where there is limited access to a specialist pain service who can treat patients with complex conditions. This will support additional specialist pain management services being delivered in regional and rural Victoria.

For: Aboriginal Health, Allied Health, General Practitioner, GP Registrar, Nurse, Registrar
When to apply: The grant will be open from 18 January 2022 to 20 June 2022, with a cap of $5,000 per applicant.

Health Workforce Scholarship Program For Locums

The Health Workforce Scholarship Program (HWSP) is an initiative of the Australian Government Department of Health administered in Victoria by Rural Workforce Agency Victoria. This program is designed to improve access to services needed in remote and rural areas across Australia by supporting an increase in skills, capacity, and/or scope of practice. The HWSP provides professional development support to locum health professionals in rural, regional, and remote Australia.

Workforce Incentive Program

The Workforce Incentive Program - Doctor Stream (WIP-DS) provides financial incentives to medical practitioners providing eligible non-Medicare services and/or undertaking training (under approved training pathways) that is not reflected in the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) records in regional, rural and remote locations. Incentives are tiered, based on remoteness and increase the longer a medical practitioner works in regional, rural and remote locations.

RWAV RECONCILIATION ACTION PLAN GRANT

A Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is a strategic document that supports an organisation’s business plan. It includes practical actions that will drive an organisation’s contribution to reconciliation both internally and in the communities in which it operates.
Grants of up to $7,000 are available to private practices in regional Victoria (MMM3-MMM6 locations) to support
the development of their Reconciliation Action Plan and their engagement with local Aboriginal communities to improve business practices.

Medical Professional Development Program

The Medical Professional Development Program (MPD) supports the ongoing professional development and medical education of medical practitioners in rural and regional Victoria. MPD also aims to encourage trainee doctors to complete rural and regional placements by providing access to professional development subsidies. The MPD is funded by the Victorian Government and administered by RWAV.

East Gippsland Trust Fund Grant

The East Gippsland Trust Fund Grant provides funding for general practices to support their GPs to improve patient care and health status in the East Gippsland region.
