“All is going well here in Walwa. The river is flowing briskly, the gardens are full of flowers and, all in all, the town and surrounds are just as beautiful as usual.
The staff are very supportive and helpful, particularly the nurse practitioner, who is always very willing to advise on local resources and potential referral pathways, as well as being able to provide a lot of background and insights about the practice’s patients, all of which make the locum’s life much easier. In fact, in all the practices we have worked in, we find Walwa the best.
We have been coming to Walwa repeatedly for over four years now and only wish that we had found out about the place earlier. We would certainly recommend Walwa as a very pleasant and well-run practice for locums to work in.”

Once again, RWAV acknowledges the hard work and dedication of all rural and regional Victorian health professionals. Thank you to the many outreach service providers and GP locums, who, despite the pandemic and lockdowns, have continued to deliver their services to many communities in country Victoria.
