RWAV Rural Ambassador and University of Melbourne medical student Hayley Favelle joined the Highlands LLEN Real Talks program at Damascus College on Wednesday, 20 August.
Hayley shared her journey into medicine, offering practical advice and encouragement to Year 11 and 12 students as they prepare for life after school. Hayley shared an empowering journey that connected with many of the students, which was evident by the number of students who wanted to chat with her afterwards.
Hayley: “It was a lovely experience to be able to talk to the students about my pathway to medical school and provide advice about how to navigate those early first few years post-school – where it can be really difficult to know what to do! The students were enthusiastic and attentive, and I’m excited for them to experience what the next few years have in store.”
Thank you, Hayley, for inspiring the next generation of health professionals in regional Victoria!
RWAV is seeking Victorian-based health students, like Hayley, who are passionate about rural health and currently studying a health discipline at a Victorian university, to represent RWAV as Rural Ambassadors.
