This grant is funded by the Australian Department of Health and administered in Victoria by RWAV.
Studies show that individuals who have experience living in rural and regional locations often remain or return to these areas to pursue their professional careers. To address the health professional shortage in rural and regional Victoria, RWAV is encouraging year 11 or 12 students living in rural and regional priority areas (see Priority Areas Matrix for eligible locations), interested in studying medicine, the opportunity to participate in preparation classes for the University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT).
In partnership with MedEntry, RWAV is offering grants that cover the two-day UCAT preparation workshops. These will run as interactive, live stream online events in 2024. Successful applicants will also have access to MedEntryâs online resources well in advance of the workshop.
