Lauren Cordwell, CEO of RWAV, was delighted to speak at the recent Connecting the Docs Regional Round-Up in Swan Hillâan inspiring event shaping the future of rural medicine in Victoria.
Held in collaboration with Murray PHN, RACGP, GPSA, VRGP and RWAV, the event brought together junior doctors, medical students, health leaders and families to explore the opportunities and lifestyle of regional practice
Born from the Loddon Mallee region, Connecting the Docs is a growing, grassroots movement redefining how doctors are supported to live and thrive in rural communities. More than recruitment, itâs about belongingâoffering mentorship, connection, and clear career pathways.
With more services across Victoria embracing the concept, RWAV looks forward to seeing stronger community partnerships drive better health outcomes.
