Following the successful rollout of Stage One of the upgraded MyRWAV Portal, RWAV is preparing to launch Stage Two, bringing our Outreach programs into the new platform.
Stage One, covering the Health Workforce Scholarship Program (HWSP) and Student Grants, was met with positive feedback citing a smooth, effective transition. The enhanced portal has already improved usability, reduced administrative burden, and given applicants better visibility into the progress of their grants.
What to Expect in Stage Two
Launching in September, Stage Two will integrate RWAV’s Outreach programs into the portal. This will enable:
- Simplified coordination of Outreach services
- Faster, easier processing of travel reimbursements and related funding
- Improved visibility for providers and stakeholders across engagement details
This upgrade allows RWAV to provide better efficiency, refocusing on strategic support and identifying new opportunities to benefit rural, regional and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
About RWAV Outreach
RWAV’s Outreach programs are a lifeline for regional and rural Victorians, delivering over 300 vital health services each year across Victoria. These include:
- Maternal and Paediatric Health
- Mental Health Support
- Chronic Disease Management
- Ear and Eye Health Services
Delivered through programs such as the Rural Health Outreach Fund (RHOF), Medical Outreach Indigenous Chronic Disease Program (MOICDP), Healthy Ears – Better Hearing, Better Listening (HEBHBL), Visiting Optometrists Scheme (VOS), and Eye and Ear Surgical Support (EESS), these services ensure care is brought closer to the communities who need it most.
Join Our Outreach Online Information Sessions
To help our current Outreach providers prepare for the change, RWAV will run three online information sessions, closer to the launch. These sessions will:
- Walk you through the updated portal
- Outline changes to how services and claims are managed
- Help you prepare for the transition
Dates and registration information will be released soon.
Supporting Better Service Delivery
The MyRWAV Portal upgrade is part of RWAV’s commitment to delivering reliable, responsive services while improving operational efficiency. Our goal remains clear:
