Abstract Submissions are now open!
The RWAV Conference focuses on the key healthcare challenges and solutions that impact rural communities, including the viability of the rural health workforce in Victoria, and the formulation of solutions to the complex challenges in local areas. This year, we invite speakers to submit their abstracts on a topic addressing one of the following conference subthemes:
1. Connecting Policy, Practice and People
2. Recruitment & Retention in Healthcare
3. Empowered Leaders, Stronger Healthcare
Successful abstract submissions will be invited to deliver a 10-minute presentation at the RWAV Conference. Unsuccessful applicants may have the opportunity to bring along a printed poster to display and discuss with conference delegates (limited opportunities).

Abstract Submission Deadline Extended: 30 September 2025
Notification of Acceptance: 10 November 2025

Abstracts must be submitted in English.
Abstracts must be submitted via the form below (150-to-200-word count) and clearly state:
– Title in UPPER CASE.
– Background
– Aim
– Method
– Results
– Conclusion
- Please do not submit supporting documentation.
- Abstract submissions must not mention any organisation within the Abstract Statement.
- Papers may have multiple authors. At least one author must be included in the submission (all authors must be included in the final presentation or poster). At least one author must be registered for and attend the conference if the Abstract is selected.
- You may submit multiple abstracts, but each submission requires a separate form.
All abstracts will undergo a peer-review process by our expert panel. Notifications of acceptance or rejection will be sent by 10 November 2025.
• Successful abstracts will be delivered by a 20 minute oral presentation (including questions)
• Limited places will be available to display and speak to posters, by invitation
