Thank you for your interest in the RWAV Locum Program. The following information is a guide to the registration process and the documents that you will need to proceed. For an overview of the program, please visit the GP Locum Program Information page.
1. Get in contact with RWAV
We recommend that you have an initial phone conversation with the RWAV GP Locum Recruitment Program Officer. We can be reached on 03 9349 7800.
Once you have had your initial discussion, we will ask you to provide documentation (noted below).
3. Reference Checks
Reference checks completed as final requirement.
4. Placement Match
After documentation has been received, we will work to match you with a practice in regional or rural Victoria that is suited to both you and the health service’s requirements.
There are standard documents and checks required by practices and health services in Victoria before you can locum. You will only need to provide these once to RWAV, not per placement or until validity expires.
*Please note if you have not worked for more than a 12 month period you may be asked to re–register to ensure we have accurate information.
In order to register you will need to fill out the RWAV Application Form along with copies of the documents listed below:
Every health service will require you to be credentialed for on-call/VMO/aged care work and you can set up an account via online credentialing or complete a paper credential application from each health service as per required)
