RWAV has developed a series of five priorities to guide its advocacy activities.
As an organisation, RWAV is passionate about advocating for a comprehensive health care system for regional Victorians that is affordable, inclusive, high quality and accessible.
RWAV’s overall advocacy goal is a health care system in which ‘All people living in country Victoria deserve access to affordable health care to support their physical, mental and social well-being. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people should feel confident they will receive health care that is culturally safe, free of barriers, and respectful of their values.’
To achieve this goal, RWAV has developed five priorities which outline how we will seek to achieve our advocacy goals. These priorities focus on quality and affordability of care, patient cycles of care, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health care, technology and infrastructure.
