Roles available for both new Graduate and a Grade 2 Speech Pathologist with a mixed case load, from birth to primary school ages and adult clients developing complex communication support and therapy, swallowing assessments and interventions. Working with varied demographics including, but not limited to, non-English speaking, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds, refugees, elderly, and people with a disability.

You will be working with people from multiple funding streams, helping children with autism,  capacity building work in preschool early years services, schools and clients with NDIS and block funding streams.

Grade 2 will also be involved in clinical supervision and support and in championing new initiatives to meet changing community needs.

Key Selection Criteria: (Please address this in your cover letter)

  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology regonised by SPA
  • Experience in providing client and family centred evidence based speech pathology services, including thorough care planning
  • An understanding of confidentiality and infection control
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Highly developed problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Current driving licence, Working with Children and Police Check

Grade 2  SP will also require:

  • Demonstrated leadership and clinical supervision experience within SP or multidisciplinary team
  • 5  years clinical experience with adults and/or paediatric cases
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Post graduate qualification in a relevant area preferred
  • Experience in developing work practices, policies and procedures
