Passionate about community health? Opportunity for either a new graduate or more experienced Speech Pathologist to provide high-quality person-centered speech pathology services including goal setting, assessment, therapy, and evaluation to the community, private, and NDIS funded clients.

Based in Kerang providing services across Gannawarra Shire, and Loddon Shire Councils you will deliver therapy to young children aged up to school age in group and individual sessions within the Victorian Early Years Learning & Development Framework. This role will also be delivering Speech Pathology services to NDIS participants as per their plans and other clients of all ages. This role is supported by another full time highly experienced Speech Pathologist.

As part of a supportive friendly interdisciplinary team with podiatrists, occupational therapists, diabetes educators, dietitians, and allied health staff, you will foster and maintain collaborative relationships with early education providers and will be involved in health promotion and early intervention services.

Key Essential Criteria: (You must address this in your cover letter)

  • Qualified Speech Pathologist as recognised by SPA
  • Training in and understanding of the Victorian Early Years Learning & Development Framework
  • Experience working within the NDIS
  • An ability to work independently and cooperatively with team members
  • Understanding of and ability to work in an interdisciplinary model
  • An awareness and sensitivity to the needs and understanding of staff, clients and general community
  •  To have well-developed organisational, counselling and communication skills and to function with tact and diplomacy
  • To be willing to work flexible hours in order to meet community/client time frames
  • A demonstrated understanding and commitment to the concept of health promotion and community health and development
  • Current Victorian Driver’s License, Police Check, and Working with Children’s Check
