This is an opportunity to work collaboratively with a team of dedicated and supportive professionals to provide clinic and community based service delivery to children and adults. Directly impacting the lives of clients and their families in a positive manner is a daily occurrence.

In this role you will provide a range of psychological therapeutic interventions and clinical assessments with children and young people, who have been referred from a range of sources, for individual, family and/or group based interventions within a social model of health with the aim of minimising the effects of impairment and disability.

You will also work collaboratively with the allied health team to deliver the Department of Education and Training School Readiness program, and build capability of early years educators and families to support children to self regulate and develop positive social behaviours and optimise social and emotional well being; as well as liaising with families, teachers and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Degree or equivalent tertiary qualification in Psychology or equivalent.
  • Registered as a psychologist with APA and AHPRA or provisional registration.
  • An understanding of and the commitment to ensuring client confidentiality at all times
  • Experience working with kindergartens particularly in a capability building and coaching role with educators, families.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing clinical assessment and psycho-therapeutic interventions.
  • Demonstrated experience in engaging and working effectively with a diverse target group, including individuals and families.
  • Effective organisational and time management skills.
  • High level of written communication skills, including report writing
