Are you passionate about working in community health and want to be part of a large team where every day you can directly impact the lives of your clients and families?  This is a perfect opportunity to join a dynamic multi-disciplinary allied health team where your work will focus on minimising the effects of impairment and disability so the community can achieve independent living.

As a new Grad or Grade 2 physiotherapist you will be working with clients who have difficulty with physical movement and functioning. Clients will be predominantly young people  and adults who have difficulty with; either a short-term musculoskeletal condition, managing a chronic health condition, or maintaining independent living in the community.

Ensuring a focus on prevention and early intervention, therapy programs and interventions will be provided at the centre, in the community or the client’s home. The physiotherapy team facilitate a range of group exercise programs including Falls and Balance, Warm Water Exercises, Tai Chi, COPD Groups, Gym Programs and a community shopping centre Walking Group.

The demographics will be varied including non-English speaking, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds, refugees, elderly, people with a disability and the socio-economically disadvantaged.

You will also get involved in a range of health education, health prevention & early identification programs and capacity building initiatives.

Key Selection Criteria: (Please address this in your cover letter)

  • Tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy as recognised by Australian Physiotherapy Association.
  • Full AHPRA registration (no limited registration)
  • Experience in providing client and family centred evidence based Physiotherapy services, including thorough care planning.
  • An understanding of confidentiality and infection control.
  • Ability to work collaborative within a multidisciplinary team
  • Highly developed problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Driving licence, current police and Working with Children Check
  • Permanent residency- no visa sponsorship provided.
