Physiotherapist: Echuca

Position Description:

  • Flexible working hours full or part-time
  • Monday to Fridays, no weekends
  • Above award rate, plus salary packaging depending on experience

  • 30 minute appointments with maximum 12 – 15 patients treated daily
  • This position may attract a Relocation/Retention grant of up to $14,000

Escape the pressure of the city and join this wonderful practice in the historic town of Echuca. An exciting opportunity has come up for a motivated and dynamic physio to join a multidisciplinary team in the longest established physio clinic in the region.

You will be working within a team of allied health professionals, and seeing a broad mix, with a maximum of 12 – 14 patients a day. With a community focus, you will treat a variety of cases ranging from musculoskeletal, sports injuries, post-operative orthopaedics, spinal conditions to work cover, transport accident rehabilitation and some aged care.

As part of the role, you will assist in delivering the transition care program and also provide an outreach visiting service to the regional hospital and community health centres. You will also undertake regular training and professional development to ensure up to date treatment methods are available to patients. The work environment is friendly, supportive and encourages ongoing education with regular in-service and training meetings.

This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced physiotherapist with a minimum of six-month postgraduate hands-on experience gained in Australia.

Key Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent
  • AHPRA registration (no new grads or limited registration)
  • Professional indemnity insurance
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic
  • Initiative and willingness to grow the practice
  • Unwavering desire to provide best quality care to clients
  • An interest or qualification in pilates, acupuncture, dry needling, GLA:D training would be desirable although not essential
  • Previous private practice or outpatient experience is preferred
  • Current Australian driver’s license
  • Current Police Check

Practice Details:

Rich River Physio is the longest established physiotherapy and multidisciplinary clinic in the Echuca Moama region. It strives to provide the very best in physiotherapy care using the most up to date sports medicine and physiotherapy research available. It is located in a beautifully restored art deco house with established gardens and a rehab gym, five treatment rooms and a hydrotherapy pool. The clinic currently has a team of three experienced physiotherapists, an exercise physiologist, audiologist and podiatrists.

The town of Echuca is situated on the Murray River, two hours north of Melbourne airport within the traditional lands of the Yorta Yorta Nation. The town serves as a commercial centre for the surrounding farming region and is only 50 minutes from the major provincial centres of Shepparton and Bendigo.
