General Practitioner: Traralgon

The Position

Replacing a GP, you will work in a full-time capacity and integrate yourself into the clinic and the wider community.  Your breadth of medical knowledge will assist you in treating the general medicine, men’s health, chronic disease and paediatric cases that present in clinic.

Your exceptional communication skills, supportive nature and ability to relocate to Traralgon will set you apart from other candidates.

Working Monday to Friday and participating in a rotating Saturday clinic and on-call roster where you will be called to attend to patients in the nursing home only.  There are no VMO responsibilities.

Essential Criteria

  • AHPRA Registration – General or Specialist GP
  • Accident and emergency skills
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Sports medicine experience highly desirable

Practice Details:

A GPA accredited teaching practice, currently employing six Doctors is open from Monday to Friday 8.00am to 6.00pm.   Saturday hours are 8.00am to 12.00pm.

With an educational focus and open-door policy, there is strong mentoring available to assist you in further developing your knowledge and skills.  Weekly in-house training is conducted by the Practice Principal in conjunction with visiting specialists.

Allied health services are co-located and include radiology, sonography, pathology, podiatry, optometry, imaging and others.  Specialists make regular visits to the clinic to assist with patient treatments.

Support in clinic includes two practice nurses who assist with GPMP’s, recalls, chronic disease management plans, surgery and immunisation.
