Position Description:

Practice hours: Monday – Friday 9am-5pm Saturday 9am-12pm
The role: Dealing with a mixed bulk billing practice that offers diverse and accessible health services with a large number of elderly patients and also pre-employment medicals. GP sessions only with 15 minutes appointment system.
Fees: $150 per hour + GST / 65% of Billings whichever is greater OR negotiable
Accommodation and reasonable travel expenses included.
Practice Details:
Sale Medical Clinic has seven consulting rooms, one student room, good size reception and waiting area, procedure rooms and is well-equipped with good support staff.
There are currently two GPs and two registrars who are supported by practice nurses. Currently 3 part time nurses, 4 admin staff practice manager, dietitian and diabetes educator. It is a training practice with registrars and medical students. Patients to the clinic include a large number of elderly and pre-employment medicals. There are other practices in town. 60% female patient base. 30% patients over 60, working and families on benefits.
About Sale: Located in the centre of Gippsland, approximately 260 kilometres east of Melbourne, Sale has a population of close to 13,000, a rich history, beautiful parks and lakes and, a wide variety of services. Several historic buildings of interest can be found in the town centre. Near the corner of Foster Street and York Street are the Lake Guthridge Parklands which cover over 35 hectares. There are two lakes within the park – Lake Guthridge and the smaller Lake Guyatt. Adjacent to the lakes are sporting facilities, playgrounds, parkland, pathways and the Sale Botanic Gardens, established in 1860.
The ninety mile beach lies south of Sale and consists of four townships: Seaspray, Loch Sport, Golden Beach and Woodside. In addition to sand and surf, these beaches harbour a variety of wildlife including various birds, kangaroos, emus and echidnas. Visitors can take time out to relax at the Port of Sale precinct with its selection of cafes and restaurants, or visit the renowned Gippsland Art Gallery-Sale. Sale is also home to the RAAF Roulettes aerobatic team, often seen training in the skies over the city.
