This a perfect position for a doctor wishing to work as a GP whilst they study for fellowship exams. You will decide the number of sessions you complete each week and gradually build your practice in the manner you choose.

With a great patient base and an open patient book, you will treat a mix of existing and new patients which will provide a variety of case presentations.  This very supportive practice will provide you an excellent orientation and induction into the clinic and the community.  You will be well-supported when settling into the community and may be assisted in sourcing accommodation, schooling, community support organisations and special interest groups.

VMO rights are available at Northeast Health Wangaratta , located directly across the road for fully registered Practitioners.  The on-call / after-hours roster is shared with the other practitioners in Wangaratta seeing you attend to only 1 weekend every 3 months and maximum 1 night per week with very minimal calls due to the close proximity of the Hospital.

Having 2 Medical Educators and being heavily involved in RACGP, ACRRM and Training Providers, the Practice facilitates fortnightly medical meetings in-clinic and study groups for the benefit of the practitioners.

Practice Details:

You will work with 4 FTE Doctors in clinic, (4 Doctors currently job-share), and will be supported by 3 part time nurses, administration staff and a very experienced Practice Manager.  With 6 consulting rooms and a treatment room, you will have the facilities to conduct minor procedures if required. The nurses are experienced in managing chronic disease’s and have the ability to assist with the completion of GP management plans, team care arrangements and health Assessments to optimise patient care and provide you more quality time with your patients.

The clinic focuses on healthcare for all ages and other services include immunisations, counselling, diabetes education, dietary advice and audiometry.

The practice is a computerised AGPAL accredited teaching practice using Medical Director and Pracsoft for clinical information and practice management.

Practice hours are: Monday to Friday from 9:00am – 5:30pm and Saturday mornings.
