Seeking a Medical Director to provide outstanding clinical leadership for the Shepparton Medical Centre, having primary responsibility for the standards of clinical and education service provision.

The Medical Director will ensure the Shepparton Medical Centre provides a positive learning environment for medical and other health professional students, as well as postgraduate trainees and Overseas Trained Doctors.

In partnership with the Operations Manager, the Medical Director will contribute to the strategic management and clinical coordination of the medical centre, as well as establish strong cooperative relationships with Department of Rural Health and will promote and represent the practice in the wider community.

You will join a collaborative team, with experienced registered nurses and a fantastic reception staff that all work closely with our GP’s.

Essential Criteria

  • AHPRA Registration – Specialist
  • 2-3 years GP Supervision experience (GP Registrars and medical student supervision)
  • Clinical Leadership experience (desirable)
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with all stakeholders
  • A desire to partake in quality improvement and impact research activities

Shepparton Medical Centre is a private general practice-centred, multidisciplinary clinic that aims to provide high quality, comprehensive general practice care for members of the public.

We are a medium sized clinic with 10 GP’s, 4 Registered Nurses (including a Credentialed Diabetes Educator), 8+ experienced Practice Administrators and an impressive range of allied health and specialists. Practice hours are Monday: 8:00am – 7:30pm, Tuesday – Friday: 8:00am – 5:30pm
