Join a super clinic as a General Practitioner with the opportunity to become a GP supervisor. The clinic are seeking two GPs, to deliver quality health care to a growing community. The clinic has VMO rights to Cobram District Hospital and provides A&E support to the hospital.  Experience in A&E and procedural skills with minor lumps and bumps are required.

The Package:

  • 60 -70% of billings
  • After hours / on call payment rates: 100% of billings plus Monday to Friday $205 a day Saturday and Sunday $240 a day Public $290

Practice Details:

The accredited super clinic is attached to Cobram District Health. Equipped with 13 consulting room and 4 treatment rooms the modern facility hosts 7 other GP’s, 2 practice nurses, and practice manager. As well as GP registrars, the clinic provide training places for final year medical students from Melbourne University.

A pathology service is on-site and radiology, echocardiology and ultrasound are available at the adjoining Cobram Hospital. Other health services available include a General Surgeon, orthopaedic surgery, visiting physician, geriatrician, paediatrician, and a gynaecologist obstetrician.

Practice hours are Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:30pm and Weekends – 9:00am – 1:00pm (rostered weekend on-call -1:7).

Doctors also provide cover to the Cobram Hospital A&E Department on a shared roster basis with other clinic in Cobram. This is approximately one day per fortnight.

Cobram – Barooga are delightful towns situated on the magnificent Murray River. The climate is equal to Queensland without the humidity. In fact locals claim to enjoy more sunny days than does Queensland. It is a multi-cultural community with a large Italian component as well as Iraqi and Turkish communities. The area is a popular tourist destination attracted by the weather, outstanding facilities for boating, fishing, waterskiing, golfing together with excellent local produce including dairy, fruit, wine and olive products. The Murray River is bordered by thick state forests of towering gum trees and beautiful sandy beaches. Great walking trails and grassy barbecue areas are easily accessed. District wineries within easy reach command a very high reputation. Nearby tourist towns such as Echuca, Yarrawonga and Shepparton provide lots of entertainment options.
