Community Planning Forums

RWAV is facilitating a series of Provincial Planning Workshops. These workshops are based on local government areas that will bring together the major stakeholders to develop a community workforce plan for attracting and recruiting doctors and profiling the opportunities and lifestyle of their region.

The aim of the workshops is to focus on what is critical to the maintenance of sustainable communities and business operations, and identify new models of rural practice to increase the sustainability of health services provided to rural communities.

The workshops identify new and innovative models of sustainable practice, which will help attract more doctors to provincial Victoria and improve the profile of rural medicine.

Community Forums

Expected outcomes from the workshops include the establishment of a steering group to implement the agreed action plans, and co-ordinate the responsibilities and contributions to be made by key partners. This will result in action outcomes for promotion, marketing and recruitment activities in the region.
