Bridging Courses for AMC Examinations

RACGP

RACGP bridging programs have been developed in context with the Australian Medical Council's process for professional recognition of OTDs.  The programs are designed to rapidly enhance the capacity of candidates to improve their professional knowledge in all disciplines to the level required to pass the AMC examination and in subsequent clinical practice.

Programs are available for:

  • Multiple Choice Questions - AMC Examination
  • Clinical Consulting Skills - Clinical Stage 1 - AMC Examination

Victorian Medical Postgraduate Foundation (VMPF)

VMPF assists OTDs by providing Bridging Courses in preparation for the AMC examination:

Multiple Choice Question Bridging Course
This is a user-pays12 week program covering medicine, surgery, paediatrics, psychiatry, obstetrics and gynaecology. Doctors from various hospitals throughout Melbourne give the tutorials. Emphasis is placed on appropriate use of language in a professional medical setting.

Private Funded Clinical Bridging Course
A 12 week hospital based program. This course consists of a hospital placement, with tutorials/lectures, communication skills and role-play workshops.
